Abstract: A series of blue phosphorBa1.92B5O9Cl:Eu2+0.06 with different Ln3+(Ln=Dy,Er,Ho) co-dopants were synthesized via high temperature solid-state method. All samples were tested with X-ray diffraction, and photoluminescence spectra of the phosphors were measured with Fluorescence Spectrophotometer. The results show thatBa2B5O9Cl:Eu2+,Ln3+powders are tetragonal systems. The position and shape of the main peaks of photoluminescence spectra and excitation spectra have not changed except the intensity of the peaks after the rare earth Ln3+(Ln=Dy,Er,Ho) were co-doped. The co-doped Ln3+can prolong the persistence and enhance the intensity of afterglow and thermoluminescence inordinately. Among them, Dy3+ is the best one.  
