The Large Deformation Analysis of Rubber-tire Wheels of New Light-rail Vehicles

Abstract: On the basis of the large deformation constitutive laws of rubber materials,a proper curved shell block element that can reflect properly steel tyre rubber rim is created by T.L. format of FEM. The contact pressure of rubber rim is calculated according to Hertz theory of elasticity,and then the large deformation analysis of the rubber rim is obtained. The effectiveness of this method is verified by the results of examples and small scale model experimental results.
