Research on the Curves Versus Moment Hysteretic Behavior of Thin-walled Cold-formed Steel Beams

Abstract: Eight thin-walled cold-formed steel beams were in cyclically increased loading conditions during the experiment.It investigated the failure shape,and analysed moment versus curvature hysteretic curves.By the analyses,some important parameters of earthquake resistant capability can be reviewed,such as hysteretic behavior,ductility and energy dissipation.They are listed as follows:The Cold-formed thin-walled steel beams exhibits stable hysteresis behavior up to local buckling,and then shows consid...
