Optimization Design of the Silicon Oil Damper for the Engine Crankshaft

Abstract: The configuration of the silicon oil damper was introduced firstly.The double pendulum model of the crankshaft system with a silicon oil damper is developed.Then,the effects of the design parameters of the silicon oil damper on the torsional vibration amplitude of the crankshaft were analyzed by using the model.An optimization method for determining the design parameters of a silicon oil damper is presented.The proposed method aims at reducing the max torsional vibration amplitude of the cranksh...
