Degradation of Reactive Black Dye GR in Engineering Photocatalytic Reactors Coated with TiC2

Abstract: It studies the degradation of reactive black dye by using engineering photocatalytic reactors coated with nanoscale TiC2 under different experiment conditions to gain the optimal parameters for the real pr~ect.Results indicate that the combined mode of UV/Nicke1.Net/TiC,has the highest degradation efficiencv for reactive black dye,and that the percent age of decolorization may achieve 94.76 % in 240 min.With the increase of the initial concentration of the dye,the percent age of decolorization will decline obviously.When the initia1 concentration is 20 mg/L,decolorization percent is more than 98.35% after 240 min reaction period. Better degradation effect could be got under the condition of pH value equal to 5.reaching 94.2% .The degradation process can also be controlled by adding H2 O2,and when the content of H2 02 is l g/L,decolorization percentage can reach up to 98. 6 % after 1 50
mins’treatment.
