Analysis and Assessment of Fire & Explosion Risk of the Epoxy Chloropropane Production Installation

Abstract: It employs the fire explosion danger index assessment method of Dow Chemical Company and makes the quantitative calculation and evaluation of the fire explosion fatalness for the Epoxy Chloropropane Production Installation of a chemical plant in the Harbor Industrial Area of Zhuhai. First, it introduced the evaluation procedures and calculation steps of the Fire & Explosion Index Method. The danger level from the Fire & Explosion was calculated quantitatively. According to the actual conditions, the danger coefficient and safety compensating coefficient of each unit were defined. Finally, the safety evaluation results of the unit danger analysis were obtained, and safety measures were given.
