An Analysis of the Characteristics of Powder Corona Discharge Inside Concentric Cylindrical Electrodes

Abstract: The rules of powder corona discharge in concentric cylindrical electrodes were studied. Through analyzing corona discharge mechanism, the fluid model for charged particles was established. The rules of variation in the density of the powder particles in the process of discharge were analyzed, and a theoretical analysis of the functional relationship between the corona current density and concentration of charged powder particles was undertaken. The results of the theoretical analysis are in accordance with the experimental results.
