    The peptides in the field of cosmeceutical applications were reviewed, the synthetic method and study of peptides were presented, and the peptides were classified by function and mechanism. There are three main categories of cosmeceutical peptides: signal peptides, neurotransmitteraffecting peptides and carrier peptides. Finally, the development of peptide industry in China was described.

    A survey of 2012 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE2012) was introduced, and some developing trends of mechanical engineering were analyzed from the paper publications of the conference. The most distinctive developing features of current mechanical engineering are: informatization, micronanotechnology, combination with biomedicine, sustainable development, etc. In the new century, mechanical engineering is still innovating and developing continuously, remaining one of the fundamental and main technologies for national economy. 

    Regarding the problems that appeared in the engineering research and innovation, it advances the ways of describing and analyzing contradictions, based on the extenics, presents some concepts of contradiction degree, contradiction function and transformation function, and constructs a model for engineering contradiction. At the same time, according to the important idea that solving the main contradiction is the key to innovation in the engineering research, it proposes the identification algorithm for the main contradiction—normal partition algorithm, which is an effective technical method for intelligent processing of contradiction by the computer.

    The intracranial hematoma, especially acute intracranial hematoma, is one of intracranial injuries which do harm to human life and health, so accurate segmentation of intracranial hematoma area has significant clinical value. Segmentation of hematoma regional medical images is a key technology to realize intracranial hematoma 3D reconstruction and volume calculation, and the problem with segmentation is how to improve the accuracy. It established a matterelement model for medical images of intracranial hematoma, and proposed a research method which combined extension detecting technology of focusing on matter with the fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering algorithm, which prevents the FCM clustering algorithm from falling into local optimization in segmentation of intracranial hematoma medical images.  Therefore, this method effectively improves the accuracy of segmentation.

    A Contrastive  Study of Natural and Remoulded Silty Clays in Wuhan(Ⅱ): Analyses of Diltancy Properties

    Silty clay samples taken from Shahu of Wuhan beneath ground level 95 m were mainly tested, and the stress controlled triaxial shear device was used to test the natural and remoulded samples along three different loading paths under different consolidated drainage conditions respectively. The corresponding research results show that: 1) in diltancy range with the volume decreasing(d≥0), relative to the remoulded soil, the natural soil presents a bigger volume decrease induced by  stress ratio; 2) but in diltancy range with the volume increasing(d<0), the testing observations are more complicated: when the natural and remoulded soil samples are in the state with OCR≤2.0 during triaxial shear process, the diltancy values of the natural soil samples almost equal the corresponding values of the remoulded soil samples, whereas when the natural soil samples are in the state with OCR>2.0 and the remoulded soil samples with  OCR≤2.0 during shearing, the diltancy values of the natural soil samples are obvious bigger than those of the remoulded soil samples; 3) different types of diltancy equations such as Cam-Clay, modified Cam-Clay, Nova Cam-Clay, and Rowe, et al, are further examined and verified against the testing data.

    Based on the results of a large number of physical and mechanical tests, microstructure analysis and previous studies, the sedimentary environment, microstructure classification, mineral composition of soft soils are analyzed, and the geologic origin of super-soft soil and the reasons for poor engineering properties are explained. Moreover, the distribution and main physico-mechanical properties of soft soil in various regions of the Pearl River Delta are analyzed, and the engineering properties of soft soils in the Pearl River Delta are compared with that in other coastal areas in China. Thus, the research can serve as good reference for construction projects in the Pearl River Delta area.

    In view of the flaws of repeated and cumbersome communication process, inefficiency and small data throughput of the traditional dualcore control acquisition system of multi-lead EEG machine, it advances a high speed, multi-channel and real-time synchronous acquisition system, based on FPGA. The SDRAM is mainly controlled by FPGA which FIFO-internalizes the SDRAM via the program to achieve the asynchronous clock reading-while-writing of the SDRAM by the ping pong operation of two pairs of FIFO of SDRAM, which ensures the ongoing of interfaces data transmission between FPGA and ARM and efficient communication by concise and rigorous parallel interface agreements. The FPGA and SDRAM can be equivalent to a SDRAM which can automatically collect data. Tests show that this system avoids the repeated copy of transfer process and redundant complex data transfer operation, and improves the data throughput and transfer rate, which meets the requirement for the design indexes of 256-lead EEG machine with the sample frequency up to 20 kHz or even higher.

    To establish a reliable and convenient simulation model for permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSM), based on the analysis of the mathematical model of PMLSM, it sets up the simulation model for PMLSM and its control system by VisSim/ECD v8.0. The PID controller model with the position circle, speed circle and current circle were established. The simulation results by VisSim indicate that the position servo system is accurate and superior in tracking performance and robust performance. It can be applied to design and testify the rationality of other control strategies. This provides a new way of thinking for designing and debugging PMLSM servo system with high performance.

    The concept of Incident Vehicle Routing Problem (IVRP) was proposed, the singledepot and singletypevehicle model was established, and chaos genetic algorithm was applied in the solution to IVRP. The basic thought of chaos genetic algorithm is that chaos variables were brought into the genetic algorithm, adjusting gradually the scope of disturbance in offspring population.The experimental results show that the algorithm can solve IVRP effectively.

    It mainly studies the characteristics of bent camber feather pieces and establishes the mathematical model for the moment of inertia. First, the corresponding graph of the relation between the quality distribution and length of natural feathers was obtained by measuring the feather leaf and feather stem. Then, the influence of bending and camber on the moment of inertia was considered, the computational formula for the moment of inertia of the bent camber feathers was gained when the mass distribution graph of feathers with different degrees of bending and camber was offered. Finally, the moment of inertia on all the rotational axes with the symmetry center as the coordinate system was got, based on the parallelaxis theorem of the moment of inertia. The simulation results show that different kinds of bending and camber have influenced the moment of inertia of feathers. Therefore, the research on the characteristics of curved camber feathers has certain practical significance.

    A case study was conducted of the slicing of 14 cerebroma PET images, of which interesting parts were divided, with a calculation of their volume features followed. Firstly, all pixels in these images were extracted, and then classified according to the self-organizing neural network, the input node of which was determined as 2×2 through repeated experiments. By marking each element point through the self-organizing neural network, it is easier and more accurate to extract images and to calculate the number of elements within the target zone. With the use of Matlab, it built the threedimension chart of the target zone within the 14 slicings. Finally, the volume of target areas was calculated by using the integral principle. Experimental results show this theory is a plausible one with effective outcome, which can offer assistance in clinical diagnosis.

    For the usability problems of innovation product design, it put forward the coupling theory from the angle of user centered design, and analyzed the multifield coupling relationship between designers and users in function coupling, manmachine coupling and information coupling, which exists in the product innovation design. Through analyzing the transformation of the user's cognitive psychology into the designer's psychology, it elaborated the basic thought of using the knowledge coupling method to obtain the multifield coupling relationship. Lastly, it discussed the relationship between coupling theory and microscopic innovative methods (such as Quality Function Deployment,QFD) in the designing process.

    Network Topology of Shenzhen Component Index Time Series

    Based on the closing price data of Shenzhen Component Index in Chinese stock market from 2000 to 2010, it turned the component index time series into complex networks by the visible diagram method, calculates, analyzed these complex networks' topological structure index, and found that these networks have the typical network characteristics of a small world and self-similarity, being scale-free. Finally, it gave an explanation in detail of this phenomenon. The study finds that a new perspective to explore the complexity of the financial system and its internal structure can be acquired by turning the financial time series into complex networks, which provides a new way of thinking to predict financial markets.

    Arbitrage Opportunities for SHFE Copper Futures and the Mathematical Modeling

    Based on the predictive mathematical modeling method, it analyzed the relationship between the LME copper price and the SHFE copper price. Then, it proposed the arbitrage strategy which can help the investor to make a profit. The cointegration test shows that the spot price of copper in the Yangtze River nonferrous metals market, the futures price of copper in LME and COMEX all have cointegration relationship with the futures price of copper in SHFE. Moreover, the copper prices in these four trading markets in the last few trading days were used as variables to establish the final error correction model to predict the current price of SHFE copper. Lastly, it verifies the practicality of the final error correction model.

The key to long-term investment is to track the dynamic changes of the company's growth and the stock's reasonable valuation in real-time. In order to avoid market risks and to get profits steadily, it proposes and proves the strategy for stock purchase and dynamic stock ownership, based on the benchmark for stocks'reasonable valuation.

    Images of traffic signs under the natural conditions were studied, and the results before and after using morphology operation were compared. Meanwhile, the images were processed with plus noise as interference, and experiments on standard conditions and interference were conducted. Experimental results show that very good results can be achieved via the smooth processing of images by using morphology and edge detection of them by using the LOG operator.

    In order to study the handling and stability of Formula SAE racing car better, based on the College Students' Formula SAE racing competition (Formula SAE racing car) of a university, it established the simulation model for the front double wishbone independent suspension system by using the mechanical system simulation software ADAMS, obtained the variation curve of kingpin inclination angle, caster, camber and toe-in four parameters by simulating and analyzing the wheels jumping, analyzed the influence of each parameter changes on the handling and stability of Formula SAE racing car, and used Insight module in ADAMS for the multi-objective optimization of the suspension system' hard point position. The results show that the motion characteristics of front  double wishbone independent suspension system are effectively improved, which meets the expected design requirements of the Formula SAE racing car. This study has a certain guiding significance for the designing of the racing car suspension system.

    The heat transfer system is one of the key components of a Stirling engine. According to the designing requirements that the power generation reaches 3 kW and the efficiency is greater than 20% for the Stirling engines, it designed the supporting heat exchanger system with a heat receiver, a regenerator, and a cooler. The theoretical power generation was calculated at 4.2 kW, its efficiency reaching 28.6%. In addition, it conducted an experiment of the cooler. Experimental results show that the efficiency of the cooler heat exchanger is up to 93.6%, thus meeting the designing requirements.

    Research on Heterogeneity Microstructure of 5083 Aluminum in Nugget Zones after Friction Stir Welding

    The 5083-H321 aluminum magnesium alloy plates were welded on a minitype friction stir welding machine. The microstructure of friction stir welding (FSW) in each nugget zone was studied via the grain morphology and misorientation distribution of nugget advancing side, nugget median zone and nugget retreating side. The results show that there are small equiaxial grains into which lathshaped grains turn in nugget zones after friction stir welding. However, there are differences in the grain size between the nugget advancing side, nugget median zone and nugget retreating side, and the average grain sides are 17, 15.8 and 13.5 μm, respectively. Compared with the base metal, the high angle grain boundaries(HAGB) fraction in nugget zones increase. Meanwhile the content is also different in the three zones, and they are 76.4%, 68.8% and 73.2%, respectively. 

    Cross linked Collagen Guided Tissue Regeneration Membrane with EDC/NHS

    A collagen GTR membrane was made with a bi-layer structure, one of whose face is loose while the other is tight. The tight face can effectively prevent the cells from growing into the defective tissue zone while the loose face is rough, which is helpful to cells growth and blood clot. In order to improve the physicochemical properties of the membranes, EDC/NHS was used as a cross-linking agent for the membranes. And the effects of cross-linking agent dosage on the physicochemical properties of membranes were investigated. The measurements of DSC, SEM were used to test the structure and properties of the membranes. The properties of water absorption, collagen resistance were also tested. According to the study, 0.5 mol/L EDC/NHS, cross-linking 24 h in the pH of 5.5 are the best processing conditions. Increasing further the concentration of EDC can not improve the physicochemical properties of the membranes. The research shows that the physicochemical properties of collagen membranes are improved significantly after being crosslinked. The denaturation temperature, anti-collagen activities are both increased, and the bi-layer structure is kept well.
