Quasi-Consensus of Multi-Agent Systems: Encoding-Decoding Scheme and Parametric Lyapunov Approach

    • Higher request on wireless network communication channels is required for multi-agent systems with continuous protocol, which lowly utilizes its bandwidth. To address such an issue, a more flexible encoding-decoding scheme is proposed and the quasi-consensus investigated for a class of linear discrete-time perturbed multi-agent systems. The designed encoding-decoding scheme introduces new quantization variables, enabling the quantizer to adjust the appropriate quantization interval more flexibly. Moreover, to better fit practical application systems, the situation where both the system and encoder are subject to external disturbance is considered, making the considered model more general. According to the Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions for achieving quasi-consensus are provided. Furthermore, and the error boundedness and the maximum quantization level of the quantizer are estimated. Finally, a MATLAB simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results in this paper.
