摘要: 介绍了美国机械工程师学会(ASME)2012年国际机械工程年会暨展览的概况,并试图从会议宣读论文情况来分析当前国际机械工程的若干发展动向.目前机械工程发展的最显著特点是:信息化、微纳技术、与生物医学的结合、可持续发展等等.古老的机械工程学科在新世纪仍然正在不断创新和发展,它依然是支撑国民经济发展的最重要的基础和支柱技术之一.

Abstract: A survey of 2012 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE2012) was introduced, and some developing trends of mechanical engineering were analyzed from the paper publications of the conference. The most distinctive developing features of current mechanical engineering are: informatization, micronanotechnology, combination with biomedicine, sustainable development, etc. In the new century, mechanical engineering is still innovating and developing continuously, remaining one of the fundamental and main technologies for national economy. 
