Abstract:
It presents the design of a dual-band right-hand circularly polarized microstrip antenna for GPS. The antenna has two stacked patches, each patch fed by four orthotropic ports on the patch plane. The four-feed network is designed to achieve dual-band right-hand circular polarization, the antenna being small. The integrated approach of cutting the antenna patch corners and adding stubs effectively improves the efficiency of the antenna radiation. HFSS was used to modulate and simulate the antenna, and a physical model was tested. The experimental results show that the simulation results and the testing results are in agreement, and that the antenna meets the application requirements.
