Abstract: The elevation transmission of sea surface is a difficult problem of leveling survey. The transmission of the water surface elevation measurements was successfully applied by using the total station leveling survey to measure the deformation of the dike project in Xiangshan County, Ningbo City. And the measurement method was verified by using GPS fitting height and the mean sea level. The results are reasonable.

Key words: the elevation transmission of sea surface; total station; GPS fitting height measurement; mean sea level
