Requirements for Drawing Diagrams, Figures and Charts
Vector drawings should be provided as much as possible for diagrams, figures and charts in manuscripts submitted, including formats such as eps, emf, wmf, pdf, ai, cdr and so on, which can be directly saved or derived by using the commonly used software for drawing statistic diagrams, figures and charts (such as origin, sigmaplot, etc) .
Difference between vector graphs and bitmaps:
• In vector graphs, all lines, texts, anchor points, and fills can be individually selected and revised using graphic software ai or cdr, with no distortion either when enlarged or reduced in size.
• Bitmaps, also called pixel maps, are made up of pixels (in plain terms). When they are too much enlarged, they blur up. Just like in commonly seen pictures, the content in them cannot be revised at will.
