For the maintenance of academic integrity and ethics, all members of Journal of Guangdong University of Technology (editors, evaluation experts, and authors) must abide by the basic principles of this journal. This editorship strictly implements the peer review system, reviewing all contributions by going through a three-tier review precedure, namely, the editors' initial review, expert evaluation, and then the final review of deputy editors and editors-in-chief, guaranteeing and improving the quality of all the articles. This journal formulates this statement based on the guiding principles and criteria issued by the Committee of the Publication Ethics (COPE).

Journal of Guangdong University of Technology

Established in December 1988 and originally entitled Journal of Guangdong Institute of Technology, Journal of Guangdong University of Technology is a comprehensive academic journal in the fields of science and technology, sponsored by Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) and administered by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province. Journal of Guangdong University of Technology has been an important journal for the teaching and research staff to publish papers since the founding of Guangdong University of Technology with Guangdong Institute of Technology amalgamated with Guangdong Mechanical Institute and South China Construction College. The present name was adopted in 1997 and now the journal is published as a bimonthly periodical. The Journal is arranged according to Data Norm for Retrieval and Evaluation of Chinese Academic Journals(CD-ROM version).

The Journal aims to reflect the latest scientific research achievements in the university as well as universities at home and abroad, and to disseminate academic theories and value engineering practices. It is mainly devoted to publishing academic papers and research reports on fundamental and interdisciplinary subjects related to mechanics, materials, electrical engineering, electronics, automation, information, computer science and technology, chemical engineering, environmental resources, architecture and management as well as insightful articles on academic discussions.

The feature columns include Extension Forum, Error-eliminating Study and Comprehensive Study. Special Columns of feature articles will be set up irregularly to publish special manuscripts and frontier research reviews on different disciplines.

Authors are welcome to submit paper(s) to the Journal and to render enthusiastic support to it so as to make joint efforts to promote academic prosperity and scientific research.
