Risk Analysis of Critical Components about Mud Pump Based on Risk Matrix

Abstract: The reliability of the slurry pump is directly related to the safety of the drilling process of exploration and development. The failure of its key components will seriously affect the performance of mud pump working. According to the operation of mud pump and the experts' experience, a failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) table of crosshead guide plate assembly is established and 11 failure causes are educed. On this basis, the causes and risks of failure are analyzed and prioritized by risk matrix and Borda method to get the dominant and critical failure causes. As a result, decision makers can work out corresponding measures to reduce the frequency of failure occurrence.
