Abstract:

Heat absorbing and vaporization characteristics of Lithium bromide solution is tested outdoor in evacuated solar collector tubes. The result shows that Lithium bromide solution in vacuum tubes can be heated up rapidly and vaporized continuously and steadily, especially when using a reflector. Equivalent cooling capacity and instant heat collecting efficiency per vacuum tube are 8.9~12.8W and 17.7%~39.0% respectively.

Key words: solar energy; vacuum tubes; lithium bromide solution; heat absorbing; vaporization
