Abstract: This article reports the results of regression analysis on real linear coefficients of thermal expansion(RLCTE) and measurement of average linear coefficients of thermal expansion(ALCTE) of 11 type eutectic Al-bass alloys potentially used as energy storage materials.Three samples of each alloy are divided into one group.Samples of 11 groups are heated from room temperature to melting point, respectively,in H-90 type Dilatometer in order to measure the values of samples elongating. The results showed that both the ALCTE value of Al-32%Mg-6%Zn(atomic concentration) alloy heated from 28?℃to 448?℃and the one of Al-15%Cu-9%Mg-0.04%Be alloy heated from 25?℃to 511?℃ are the highest and the lowest among the 11 type alloys,respectively,2.360×10-5?℃-1 and 1.881×10-5?℃-1.The results of regression summary indicated that the change rule of RLCTE of alloys via temperature is able to be described using a multinomial of temperature cube in the range of room temperature to melting point.Meanwhile, the RLCTE as a function of temperature and composition is yielded after regressed on the effect of element on CTE of alloys.
