Numerical Simulation of the Effects of Buildings on Pollutant Dispersion from a Nearby Source

Abstract: Using three turbulence models,i.e.the standard kε model,Shear stress transport model(SST) and SSG Reynolds-stress model,and pollutant transport equation,a numerical simulation for the dispersion of a plume around an isolated building is conducted.In comparison with results from wind-tunnel experiments,the computational results are analyzed and evaluated.The results demonstrate that all the three turbulence models can reasonably reproduce the concentration distribution in the near wake.Quantitati...
