Thermostat Controlled by Columnar Grain CuAINi Shape Memory Alloy

Abstract: The thermostats,equipped with different composition of columnar grain CuA1Ni wires as sensors and actuators,with differernt thickness and heat conduction rate of materials(copper or iron)as baseplates,were designed to reset manually and automatically.The experimental results show that the therm ostats can react reliably and stably,and control the temperature precisely.Moreover,the controlling temperature of the thermostats can be changed with the changes in the composition of CuA1Ni wires,the materials of the baseplate,the thickness of the baseplate and the spring force on the wires.
