On Three Dimensional Finite Element Calculations Concerning Coupling Interaction Between Frame Structure,Raft Foundation and Soil Mass

Abstract: Three-dimensional finite element calculations concerning coupling interaction between frame structure,thick raft foundation and soil mass were done in detail by using ANSYS code.sensitivities of diferent soil mass constitutive models for the coupling interaction were tested by using the three-dimensional finite element calculation results,and some mechanisms of the coupling interaction were disclosed as wel1.Research results show that D-P5 and D-P6,the two constitutive models,which contain intermediate principal stress contribution to soil mass failure strength,provide more reasonable predicting results about the coupling interaction between frame structure
,thick raft foundation and soil mass.
