Abstract:

In order to explore the influential factors of CO2 emission and the relationship between various factors, the statistics of total CO2 emission and the influential factors of CO2 in the recent years are collected. Meanwhile, the influential factors of CO2 emission are classified into direct factors and indirect ones. By using Coefficient of Variation Method, Grey theory and Analytic Hierarchy Process (GAHP), the importance and relevance between the CO2 emission and its various influential factors are analyzed. The results show that the total consumption of natural gas and other energy presents the main direct influential factors for the CO2 growth, and total fixed asset investment of the whole society and the industry’s GDP are the main indirect influential factors. At the same time, the relationships between CO2 emission and coal energy and the three major traditional industries in China are closest.

Key words: CO2 emission; analytic hierarchy process; coefficient of variation method; grey relation
