Abstract: A special Video Image Process System has been developed to get the microscopic dynamic data on shockwaves. The data has been compared with the vehicle microscopic data (speeds, accelerations, headways and reaction times) before & during the propagation of shockwaves. It has been found out that the drivers will change their driving strategies when they “recognize” a shockwave. Thus, it proposes a Fuzzy Logic based Shockwave Recognition Algorithm and simulates it. Besides, it proposes a shockwave elimination method by combining the Shockwave Recognition Algorithm with the Internet of Things.
