Abstract: The finite-element analysis of the brake stampingwelding shoes was conducted, based on software of ANSYS Workbench. Firstly, the sinusoidal distribution rule of positive pressure and friction force along the cambered surface of the brake shoe was analyzed. Then, the discrete loading method of positive pressure and friction force and the boundary conditions was established in a 3-D model. Finally, the size of deformation, stress, strain and the distribution of brake shoes were calculated. The results indicate that deformation, stress distribution of the brake shoes are even, the maximum deformation and the maximum stress occur in two webs with narrow spacing, but they are not beyond the scope of design requirements.
