Dielectric, Ferroelectric and Piezoelectric Properties of theBa(Zr0.06Ti0.94)O3-BiFeO3 Composite Ceramics

Abstract: Ba(Zr0.06Ti0.94)O3-x%BiFeO3 (with x=0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8) composite ceramics were prepared by the traditional solid-state reaction method. The structural, dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of the ceramics were investigated. XRD results show that all the ceramics show typical tetragonal perovskite structures, with various lattice parameters induced by different amounts of BiFeO3 concentration. The dielectric permittivitytemperature curve shows that, both the temperature of phase transition and the value of dielectric permittivity have been affected by theBiFeO3 concentration. It has been found that, at the room temperature, dielectric permittivity of the ceramics increases with the increase of the BiFeO3 concentration. And the diffuse phase transition has been observed in the ceramics. Besides, all samples show clear ferroelectric and piezoelectric characteristics, and these characteristics change in the same trends along with the BiFeO3 concentration.
