The Preparation of PMMA Abrasive Resistant Coating with Zirconium by Sol-Gel Process

Abstract: The PMMA abrasive resistant coating with and ZrO and ZrO-SiO2 has been prepared by Sol-Gel process.The result shows that the sol solution obtained at optimal conditions is stable ,the abrasive resistane of PMMA is improved from 3g to 10g and hardness from HB to 3～4H. So,the coating with zirconium has good abrasive resistance for PMMA.
