Abstract: This paper presents a classical application of a distributed network control system. The system is composed of two parts.One is the process control subsystem performed by monolithic computers which collect and process the locale datum.The other is the monitoring subsystem performed by a monitoring computer which communicates with the locale process control subsystem through RS-232 port.Then the datum from the locale process control subsystem can be displayed and processed by a monitoring computer.The given value of the system can be set and sent to the locale process control subsystem. Connecting remote computers through Network,the monitoring computer is also used as a remote server.Then remote computers can interview the server and remotely control the locale devices through Internet.
