Study on Purification Characteristics of Butyl Xanthate

Abstract: In order to understand the purification characteristics of butyl xanthate,this paper investigates the oxidation,decomposition and adsorption of butyl xanthate.In oxidation tests,air is puffed and oxidants（H2O2 and NaClO） are added.In addition power activated carbon is used as an absorbant.The concentrations are measured by using UV spectrum method.The results indicate that H2O2 and NaClO effectively oxidate butyl xanthate and the more the amount of power activated carbon the less the concentration of butyl xanthate.
