Application of DSC in the Studies of Transesterification Reaction in Polymer Blends

Abstract: The application of the differential scanning calorimetry in the studies of the transesterification reaction in PBT/PC and PBT/PET alloys was researched.The effects of reaction inhibitor on the transesterification reaction were compared with those of the pure system.The results show that by observing the difference of the melting and crystallization temperature during the heating and cooling cycles in DSC,the degree of the transesterification reaction can be judged.Based on this,the kinds of inhi...
