The Design of a Kind of Reflectors Based on LED Lighting System

Abstract: It introduced the basic principles of the secondary optical design of LED. In addition, a reflector, based on the LED illumination system, was designed and simulated by using the TracePro optical software. The simulation results show that the illumination system is able to obtain uniform illumination, light collection and directional control. Physical products have been tested, and expectant results have been achieved. The flare’s shape and uniformity are judged by the standard gaussian function fitting and the standard deviation. The standard deviation demonstrates that the general shape and uniformity are basically in accordance with the requirements.
