Zhu Jian, Zhang Hao-chen, Chen Bing-feng, Cai Rui-chu
    Journal of Guangdong University of Technology. 2019, 36 (03): 25-31.   DOI: 10.12052/gdutxb.180173
    Abstract    HTML ( )   PDF(794KB)
Physically based fluid simulation method can obtain realistic simulation results by solving the fluid governing equation directly, but numerical dissipations are liable to occur, thus causing the loss of fluid details. In this research, it is proposed to simulate the fluid with vortex particles. Firstly, the vorticity field is obtained by solving the curl form of the governing equation, upon which it is converted into an incompressible velocity field. This method greatly reduces numerical dissipations, automatically guaranteeing that the final velocity field is divergence-free, and thus can preserve much more fluid details. In addition, aiming at the performance bottleneck of the algorithm in solving Poisson equation for the vorticity-to-velocity conversion, an efficient preconditioned conjugate gradient method is designed and implemented based on GPU (graphics processing unit) to solve this equation, which can be more than ten times faster than the existing solvers. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve more realistic fluid simulation results than the existing methods, and the simulation speed is significantly improved.

    Journal of Guangdong University of Technology. 2019, 36 (03): 39-46.   DOI: 10.12052/gdutxb.180112
    Abstract    HTML ( )   PDF(706KB)
Social network recommender systems combining strong and weak ties and interests are proposed. First, social relationship sets for customers are built based on the strong and weak ties, taking into account the breadth and depth of information transfer. Then, based on the association rules to improve the state transition probability of the PageRank Algorithm, the modified matrix is capable of measuring the social closeness between different customers more reasonably. Meanwhile, aiming to increase diversity and novelty of the systems, the similarity of interests between different customers is considered giving them the weight of voting in the candidate projects. Finally, the candidate items are scored and Top-N filtered to obtain a recommendation list. As is shown in the experiment results, the algorithm is more reasonable and effective than the reference algorithms.

    Journal of Guangdong University of Technology. 2019, 36 (03): 47-55.   DOI: 10.12052/gdutxb.180162
    Abstract    HTML ( )   PDF(1482KB)
Art font rendering is one of the important techniques of media typesetting. How to provide an efficient art font rendering method to realize the diversity and clearness of the special effects of generative art fonts is an urgent problem for technicians in this field. With the help of Conditional Generative Adversarial Networks (CGAN), a two-stage art font rendering method that includes style transfer processing and enhancement processing is proposed to achieve high quality rendering of art fonts. First, by style transfer processing, a stylized network model is built to render various 2D or 3D special effects on a variety of input fonts. Then, by enhancement processing, a sharpening network model is built to sharpen the generated art font images, which overcomes the defect of fuzzy image generation in a single GAN network. The experimental results show that, comparing with existing methods, this scheme has a better performance for generating more diverse and more clear special art fonts, whose texture details are relatively rich, and are not limited to the text skeleton. At the same time, this scheme can also improve the efficiency of art font rendering in the batch processing and has a higher practical value.

    Abstract    HTML ( )   PDF(456KB)
Generally, the analytic solution for fractional differential equations is hard to obtain. The difference scheme of time fractional diffusion equations with periodic boundaries is mainly studied, adopting the L2-1σ formula in temporal direction, and the second order difference approximation in spatial direction. The proposed scheme can obtain second order accuracy globally. The unique solvability, stability and convergence of the proposed scheme are proved by the Fourier method. Finally, the specific fractional models are solved numerically by MATLAB language. Numerical experiments are carried out to support the theoretical results.

    Journal of Guangdong University of Technology. 2019, 36 (03): 83-90.   DOI: 10.12052/gdutxb.180092
    Abstract    HTML ( )   PDF(1280KB)
A speed sensorless control strategy of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP-PMSM) is investigated based on an adaptive sliding mode observer (SMO) and multi proportional resonant (PR) control with the consideration of the fundamental component in α-β subspace and harmonic element in x-y subspace. First, a current sliding mode observer is designed in α-β subspace based on vector space decomposition transformation for DTP-PMSM model by replacing signum function with hyperbolic tangent function as switching function to reduce system chattering and obtain the equivalent signal of back electromotive force (EMF). Then, an adaptive observer of back EMF is built to estimate the velocity and rotor position of DTP-PMSM, which eliminates the low-pass filter and phase compensation module in speed sensorless control system and improves the estimation accuracy. And then, PR controllers are employed in α-β subspace, which can track and control the given current without static error; also PR controllers are introduced to x-y subspace to reduce the 6k±1 th, k=1, 3, 5, … harmonics, which results in a decrease of power consumption and inverter capacity and improvement of control performance. Simulation results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

    Journal of Guangdong University of Technology. 2019, 36 (03): 99-102,110.   DOI: 10.12052/gdutxb.180111
    Abstract    HTML ( )   PDF(768KB)
The long-distance water conveyance system was simulated by a ductile iron pipe circulation device to study the changes of the main water quality indexes of the high-quality surface water source Wanlv Lake raw water after normal and separately contaminated by algae, NH4+-N and NO2- -N. The test results showed that when the raw water was not contaminated, the DO showed a downward trend, and NH4+-N, NO2- -N and turbidity were all maintained within the limits of the Surface Water Standard of Class I requirements; when subjected to algae pollution, the DO concentration decreased and turbidity, NH4+-N and NO2- -N increased along the course. When being polluted by NH4+-N and NO2- -N, due to biodegradation of the biofilm of the pipeline, it showed great purification ability on NH4+-N and NO2- -N, with removal efficiency respectively being 61.79% and 68.05%. In summary, the Wanlv Lake suffered from poor water quality stability after being contaminated by algae, NH4+-N and NO2- -N, and all have decreased DO and residual chlorine concentration and obvious accumulation of NO2- -N.
