Numerical Simulation of Wind Pressure Distribution on Building Surfaces at a Convention Centre

Abstract: A 3D numerical simulation of wind field around a convention centre in Zhongshan was conducted with the SST turbulence model on the basis of ANSYSCFX13.0,and the results of the simulation were analyzed with the program compiled by ourselves. The results show that the wind field and pressure distribution of the surfaces are influenced by the  buildings around the convention centre, and the wind pressure distribution and shape coefficients on the building surfaces are in good agreement with the law of flow around a bluff body. The results of the wind vibration factor are got by the simplified method and the Japanese standards, and the Japanese standards are supposed to be used to obtain the results.
